Lively Stone Church
of Port Charlotte
OUR PASTOR
My name is Reverend Howard Brown, I grew up in New Haven Connecticut, and I presently reside in Fort Myers Florida, with my wife of over 10 years. I currently work in sales and served my country through the Armed services where I received several recognition awards for outstanding duty performance and for my devotion to my duties and to my country.
What I believed in, and what mattered to me was, that I wanted to be a good influence to others. I want to be remembered as someone who has had a generous spirit and a loving heart, a servant of God, an example to others, a great business man, a hard worker, and a pillar in my church and in my community. I want to be remembered for having a positive impact on people’s lives.
It is my duty to be an unprofitable servant and share the gospel, (good news), with as many people as I can, so that people will remember more about what they saw in me than in what I said or did. I would want it to be said that my life made such a difference to so many, and some of the steps that I would take to ensure people would remember me as I intended them to, is by always looking for the opportunity to have a greater impact on whomever I come into contact with through my ministry work, my place of employment, and through my entrepreneurial business.
I believe that we all have a responsibility to affect the people around us whether family members, the people that we work with, or the people that we do business with, and I want to spend the rest of my life motivating someone to believe in themselves in a way that they didn’t before. I remember a time in my life where I didn’t believe in myself, and my life had no purpose, but when God saved me and I realized that Jesus paved the way for me to follow a righteous path, it has given me the desire to want to help others find that way. Most of all I want to be remembered not only as a faithful servant of God, but a loving husband and a great provider, and father.

History of the Call
While serving faithfully under the leadership of Pastor David Doriscar, God spoke to Pastor David Doriscar about Brother Howard Brown. God specifically told him that he is calling him to serve in the city of Port Charlotte. This was not a scenario where Brother Brown just had the desire to become a pastor and decided to go and start a church. When Pastor David Doriscar told Brother Howard Brown of Port Charlotte he literally said "where" hence proving this is not something conjured up in Brother Brown's spirit. After several weeks of prayer, God gave Pastor David Doriscar a confirmation and he subsequently told brother Howard Brown to immediately begin making plans to move up to Port Charlotte and start the ministry.
On his first visit, Brother Brown expected to spend the entire day just looking around, hence he went because of his obedient spirit to the man of God (Pastor David Doriscar) not any promising information he foreknew of the city, or connections thereof. However, on that first visit, God had reassured him that he was with him and sent him to a location where a lady who was taking care of dozens of people with the same history of drug addiction and homelessness had been praying for God to send a spirit filled man of God to preach the gospel to these people in that location.
The woman of God said that God had answered her prayer by sending Brother Brown and his obedient wife Stacey Brown. Every action that the Browns have done concerning the ministry of Lively Stone Church of Port Charlotte has been under delegated (sent) authority not under any carnal desire to be seen or obtain a position, with the assumption that God would bless it.
This is why this 8th day of February 2015, Pastor David Doriscar will be laying hands on Brother Brown and his wife Stacey as scripture have directed for the starting and sending of the Brown's into the City of Port Charlotte as God has instructed.
